Frequently asked questions
1. What are your candles made from?
Our candles are made from natural waxes. Currently, our entire range uses natural soy wax. However, we plan to expand into other wax types. Stay tuned…
2. Are your candles safe?
Yes, our candles are safe. We recommend that you follow all safety instructions provided with each candle.
3. How long do your candles burn for?
Burn time can be affected by various factors, including wax type, wick size and type, jar diameter, and candle care. The expected burn time for each candle is listed on the product page when you select a size.
4. How do I get the most out of my candle?
To maximise burn time and performance, we recommend the following:
Trim the wick to 5mm before each use.
Light the candle at room temperature. Cold candles are more likely to tunnel.
Burn the candle long enough for a full melt pool. This helps prevent tunnelling and may take 1 to 3 hours.
Do not burn for longer than 4 hours at a time. Longer burns can overheat the wax, shorten the candle’s lifespan, and increase soot.
Keep the candle away from drafts. Breezes can cause uneven burning and increase fire risk.
Clean off soot and debris. Use a tissue or dry cloth to wipe the jar and wax pool.
5. Why choose soy wax over paraffin?
Soy wax is a natural wax derived from soybeans, while paraffin is a petroleum-based, non-renewable wax. Some benefits of soy wax include:
A cleaner, slower burn
Minimal soot (when the wick is trimmed)
A more subtle, natural scent throw
It is biodegradable and renewable
6. Do you ship internationally?
Not at the moment. We currently only ship within Australia. However, if you are overseas and would like to order, please get in touch and we will do our best to assist you.
7. What size candle is right for my space?
Standard (165g): Best for small to medium rooms such as bedrooms, bathrooms, home offices, and small lounges.
Large (320g): Ideal for medium to large spaces such as kitchens, living rooms, and open-plan areas.
8. Do your candles expire?
Technically, no. However, we recommend using them within 12 to 24 months for the best scent and performance. Over time, candles may lose their fragrance, change in texture, or burn less effectively.
9. How long will it take to receive my order?
Depending on your chosen shipping option, orders typically arrive within 3 to 8 business days. Delivery may take longer during peak holiday seasons.
10. My candle arrived damaged. What should I do?
If your candle arrives damaged, please contact us via email or social media with a photo or video. Keep in mind that our candles are hand-poured in small batches. Minor imperfections, while not intended, can occur and should not affect the performance of the candle.
